And even more, the house surrounds itself with a very well-kept green area, whose fantastic appearance gives your holiday mood a new dimension. The 10 m large saltwater pool as the heart of the outdoor area certainly contributes to this.
The open rooms of the finca create a lot of atmosphere on a living area of 360 m². Designer furniture, partly modern, partly antique, in front of the bright walls, due to their tasteful placement, form almost a total work of art. Among the highlights inside the house is the living room. Comfortable leather sofas form a corner around the television and the candle fireplace. By means of the satellite TV system you can watch international programs and surf the internet is of course free of charge. The kitchen is fully equipped to a high standard and right next door is the dining room with the large dining table, so large that all holiday guests can enjoy their cooking together.
The bedrooms, bathrooms and guest WCs are spread over both floors. On the ground floor there is a bedroom with bathroom en suite with a dressing room, while the upper floor spoils you with three suites including bathrooms, and as with all rooms in the house, with direct access to the balcony or terrace. One of the bathrooms also serves you with a Jacuzzi tub.

The location of the finca is excellent. In one direction you can see the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, in the other direction you can reach the shopping town of Inca in a few minutes, and if you drive 20 minutes longer, the sandy and rocky beaches of the two bays of Pollenca and Alcúdia open up to you.
The town of Selva, with a population of just under 2,000, is located in the north-west of the island between the foothills of the Serra de Tramuntana and the Es Plà plain, which extends to the bay of Alcúdia and the Serres de Llevant near Artà. The wooded municipality, which for a long time lived from the wood industry, also includes the villages of Caimari with Binibona, Biniamar and Moscari. Today the production of leather goods, olive oil (especially in Caimari) and agro-tourism with attractive finca accommodation play an important economic role.
Selva's long history is reflected in the magnificent historical buildings of the village, which was mentioned in written records as early as the middle of the 11th century. The façades of one of the oldest Mallorcan churches, once dedicated to the patron saint of St. Lawrence, still stand. Strolling through the alleys and climbing up to the parish church, visitors will come across architecture worth seeing everywhere as evidence of a long past. The name of the sun-spoiled village comes from the Latin "silva" (forest). Almond and orange trees and olive groves characterise the region, which offers a particularly idyllic picture during the almond blossom in February.
Those who spend their holidays in this tranquil area will get to know a completely different facet of Mallorca than in the tourist resorts on the coast. Many holidaymakers can only marvel at the diversity of the island. This is also the case in the nature protected area around Selva, where there are not only barren rocks but also wide plains. The contrasting landscape between the Tramuntana foothills and the Majorcan plains is ideal for hiking, climbing and cycling.
Culture and fiestas in the municipality of Selva
The library and the cultural centre with its offers as well as the folklore group "Aires de Muntanya" provide entertainment on site. In addition, there are the markets, fairs and festivals that are held in Selva. On the 3rd of May the regional handicraft presents itself on a big market on the occasion of the holiday "Festa de Sa Creu". Among its highlights are the traditional dances to mark the arrival of the camerata and a mass at which the new harvest is blessed. This is followed by bicycle rides, popular xeremia music (bagpipes) and a market for tasting snails prepared in different ways in the Balearic Islands.
On the second weekend in June, Selva becomes the setting for the herb festival "Fira de Ses Herbes" with a colourful supporting programme. This is followed by the summer patron saint fiestas from the end of July to the end of September, which in Moscari (also in Algaida, Binissalem and Randa) are dedicated to Santa Ana and in Selva to Sant Llorenç and the "found Mother of God". In Caimari, the patron saint's day "Mare de Déu d'agost" is celebrated, and Biniamar concludes with his "Santa Tecla" celebration.
One of the many worthwhile destinations for holidaymakers in Selva is the town of Inca, only 10 km away. It is the centre of the footwear and leather goods industry, which is present throughout the Es Raiguer region. Some companies in the town have become internationally renowned brands. Trains run from the train station in Inca to the island capital Palma or to Sa Pobla and Manacor.
The natural beach Playa de Muro at the Badia d'Alcúdia and the beautiful nature reserve "S'Alubufera" can be reached in about 30 minutes by car. The drive takes one hour on a winding route through the Tramuntana to the charming mountain village of Fornalutx. If you really want to go on foot to the "Museu d'Art Contemporani" in Sa Pobla, you have to plan a three-hour hike without longer breaks.
