Capdepera is a small town of approximately 12,000 inhabitants that is located in the northeast of the island of Mallorca, between two mounds. In the highest part is the Capdepera Castle:
"with excellent visual control over the interior lands, the coastline and the Menorca channel that separates the two islands.
It is a fortified enclosure whose building dates from the s. XIV at the behest of King Jaume II so that the population of the region could settle in it especially during times when pirate attacks were more frequent.
Capdepera Castle was declared a Site of Cultural Interest (BIC), a figure of maximum protection of our historical heritage. "
The Vila Roja neighborhood, where Ca Na Patrona is located, is the oldest and most central district of the municipality of Capdepera. It consists mostly of families that have occupied the properties of their ancestors. The atmosphere is very calm as well as festive and participatory when the typical and popular festivities of Capdepera are celebrated such as: Medieval Market (May), Mr Gay Pride (June), Fiestas del Carmen (July), Fiestas de San Bartolomé and Fiestas de San Roque (August), Feria de la Llampuga (October), Christmas Market (December), Festivity of Kings (January), the famous celebrations of San Antonio (January 16 and 17), Carnival (February), Book Fair (April ).
Capdepera is an ideal place to enjoy the environment and sport at any time of the year. This municipality is committed to active tourism. From the session they attend the ITV in Berlin every year to present new projects. In 2016 the hiking routes were presented and in 2017 the cycle routes. In 2018, the presentation of the bike path that will link all the tourist centers of the municipality is planned.
Likewise, Capdepera houses the only marine reserve in the east of Mallorca, located in the area near the Natural Park of Levante.
In the tourist center of Cala Rajada at 3km, you can enjoy many nautical activities such as diving, boat rentals and all kinds of activities carried out with the sea.
Capdepera is, as a whole, a treasure of landscapes and natural beaches that combines sport, leisure, culture and entertainment.
A minute from Ca Na Patrona is the bus and taxi station from where you can easily reach the coastal areas such as Cala Rajada, Canyamel, Font de Sa Cala and Cala Mesquida. From the same station you can travel to the city of Palma as well as to other towns on the island.
