One of the best places to enjoy a well-deserved vacation is undoubtedly Mallorca.
This island, bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, offers crystal-clear waters, breathtaking landscapes, lush vegetation, and charming villages, all ideal for disconnecting from the world and daily routine.
One such gem is Port de Sóller.
Have you ever dreamed of waking up in a holiday home right on the seafront, taking a diving course in crystal-clear waters, or embarking on an excursion through the famous Sierra de Tramuntana? Now you can experience an unbeatable vacation at Sa Caleta.
What does this house hide that makes it the best option for enjoying the summer? Sa Caleta was built according to the standards of the 1960s by a Mallorcan family who combined functionality and spaciousness.
The various rooms have now been renovated, adapted to provide a unique and attractive experience for anyone who chooses Sa Caleta.
The house features five bedrooms, two of which have private terraces offering privileged views of the distinctive Port de Sóller with its three lighthouses, mountains, and nature, the sailboats docked in the bay, the swallows departing and arriving for Sa Calobra or Cala Tuent, the docks with their Yacht Club and fish market, where you can witness firsthand the boats arriving with their catch if you visit in the mid-afternoon.
Sa Caleta offers amenities and touches to make you feel comfortable and at home: four renovated bathrooms (one with a bathtub) and a spacious, modern, and functional kitchen equipped with the necessary appliances to prepare anything you desire. There is a large area for washing, drying, and ironing clothes, if needed.
Sa Caleta offers the possibility to cook outdoors on the barbecue with family or friends if you are lovers of grilled meat or vegetables.
The holiday home provides five distinct areas to enjoy your stay in Port de Sóller: a large indoor living room with a picture window overlooking the Port; a functional dining area convenient to the kitchen; an outdoor dining area under a porch for enjoying barbecues; a rear outdoor area for relaxing with views of the mountains and the beautiful garden olive trees; and a large front terrace with spectacular views of Port de Sóller, perfect for sunbathing, dining al fresco, or enjoying an aperitif while watching the sunset. The beach is just across the pedestrian promenade in front of the house, allowing you to keep a close eye on the little ones as they play or swim.
To ensure an easy, safe, and comfortable stay, guests will have two covered parking spaces available.
Finally, you can watch the exclusive tram that passes in front of the house, connecting to the town of Sóller.
In this beautiful and traditional town, you can enjoy an aperitif or dinner in the main square, admiring the façade of the Church of Sant Bartomeu, a work by a disciple of Gaudí, the architect of Barcelona's Sagrada Familia.
Don't miss the opportunity to explore and stroll along the vibrant commercial street of Sa Lluna, where you'll find all the most typical gastronomic products of Sóller and Mallorca.
For all lovers of Modernism, we recommend visiting the Can Prunera Museum, a early 20th-century Modernist house.
You can also enjoy a refreshment at one of the establishments in various streets, respecting the original vision of the emigrated Sóller residents who returned to their homeland for retirement.
They brought back the trends and tastes of their time, combining them with local materials to build their residences, which will surprise you on your walks.
Visiting the Train Station, you can appreciate the entrepreneurial spirit of its inhabitants who made it possible to facilitate communication with the capital, which was challenging due to the surrounding high mountains of the Sierra de Tramuntana.
Leaving the town of Sóller and its Port, you can travel to Palma, the capital, by train or by car via the tunnel.
You'll discover the hustle and bustle of its shops, its cultural heritage, and its bar terraces where you can sit and relax.
You can also take a tour along the island's north coast, passing through charming towns like Deià, Sa Foradada, Valldemossa, Banyalbufar, or Andratx, enjoying wonderful views of the Mediterranean, mountain villages, and sunsets.
Another option is to tour the island's interior, passing through Escorca, the Monastery of Our Lady of Lluc, Inca, and reaching Manacor, the hometown of tennis player Rafa Nadal. - - - - - IMPORTANT NOTES - - - - - All reservations include free consumption of running water, €50 of electricity consumption per reservation, and, during the winter season and if the property has it, €50 of non-electric consumption (heating by diesel, gas, or propane).
