Holiday flats in a manor house with a large garden and pool in an original little town, ideal starting point for trips to the beach or exploring the island
In the centre of the island of Mallorca, in the small original rural town of Sencelles, at the end of the village towards Inca, is the 17th century manor house Can Mavi with a large garden and pool. The property is secluded.
The historic property with its 450 m² of living space and an almost paradisiacal, secluded garden of approx. 800 m² with pool was extensively renovated and modernised in September 2012 and converted into a small apartment building, while retaining the traditional Mallorcan style. Can Mavi has five spacious and functionally equipped holiday flats. The architecture of the building reflects the once stately Mallorcan style and today combines traditional building elements with modern facilities and all the amenities you could wish for for a relaxing and restful stay. The large dining room on the ground floor (with a table for up to ten people) with an open fireplace and access to the garden is available to all tenants. It offers a lot of flair, with its large palm trees, the large olive tree in the centre, the bougainvillea bushes and the small romantic fountain. The pool with sun loungers and parasols is also for communal use. The lounge is also ideal for training sessions or business meetings.
The residential units without a balcony or terrace have a patio area in the large garden. There you can also enjoy a home-cooked breakfast and round off the day with a glass of wine on warm summer evenings.
Please note that the house and the garden and pool area are not suitable for small children. Therefore, for safety and liability reasons, bookings can only be accepted with children of school age. For group bookings, half board (breakfast and dinner) is available for an additional charge. The landlords live five minutes away and can be contacted if necessary.
In the village there is a supermarket, a grocery shop and other shops such as a butcher, bakery, post office, restaurant and bar. The location on the outskirts of the small town of Sencelles offers the opportunity for direct contact with the Mallorcan inhabitants: be it in one of the small pubs in the village, on market day every Wednesday or in one of the shops. For shopping, it is a ten-minute drive to Inca or 20 minutes to Palma. The flats are ideally located for travelling to the main points of the island. At the same time, you will find the peace and quiet you need in the house and garden to recover from the adventures and stresses of the day. The nearest beach is around 30 minutes' drive away for a relaxing day by the sea. Or you can drive along small Mallorcan country roads through a typical Mediterranean landscape to the natural beach of Muro, to the lively beach life in Alcúdia and for surfing or kiting to Port Pollenca. Convenient transport links by car, bus and train. Take advantage of the quick transfer to the airport, the many shopping opportunities in Palma or the nearby Inca. Hiking, golf, cycling, sailing, surfing, kitesurfing and other sporting activities are also possible. Interesting excursion destinations include Palma, hiking in the Tramutanja mountains, swimming on the natural beaches or the vineyards in the immediate neighbourhood and much more. There is a bus to INCA, from there a suburban train to Palma and a bus to the beach in PORT-ALCUDIA.
